Guarded by the Atlantic Ocean, Estoril is only 20km away from Lisbon and its international airport.

The area stretches from the Tagus river estuary to Guincho beach and is close to the most westerly point in Europe - Cabo da Roca. The Sintra-Cascais natural park with its majestic mountains casts a veil of mystery over the romantic town of Sintra. The hills and the surrounding area have been classified by UNESCO as a “World Heritage” site.

Owing to a Mediterranean type microclimate, the Estoril Coast has mild winters and an ideal summer temperature, which never gets too hot. All beaches on the Estoril Coast face south in a continuous line from the Tagus estuary and are known for their calm waters and fine sand.

In Estoril, culture and entertainment are a constant source of relaxation and pleasure. The Estoril Coast has 7 golf courses, including the 18 hole, 72 par, 6.228 m long course, which designed by Robert Trent Jones in Penha Longa. The Estoril Casino is the largest in Europe and it offers a wide variety of entertainment, including different types of gambling, nightly cabaret and music hall shows in a sophisticated and upscale atmosphere.
